Mr. Walt is an international renewable energy and rural development specialist with 40 years of professional working and living experience in over 15 countries. His experience includes technical and managerial positions with the US Government / US Peace Corps Volunteer (India) and staff officer (Iran), Westinghouse Electric Corporation, the World Bank, Pacific Telephone, and McDonnell Douglas. Mr. Walt was co-founder and managing director of Westinghouse Industrial Development Services, manager of the Village Power division of Westinghouse Integrated Power Corporation (IPC), and co-founder and president of Community Power Corporation (CPC), a leading modular bioenergy company. After selling CPC, Mr. Walt formed Sustainable Home Solutions, LLC (registered in Colorado, USA). SHS is focused on the development of sustainable energy solutions to support the well-being and welfare of rural and peri-urban communities, institutions, and households. SHS is especially focused on the development of sustainable and clean cooking systems and other household appliances for African households.
