Qld State Sales ManagerRathbone Wine Group - Four Seasons Fine Wines Aug 2007 - Mar 2011Four Seasons Fine Wines is a medium sized privately owned distribution company with offices along the Eastern seaboard and Western Australia. Operating with State Manager responsibilities but also still managing a successful territory of important customers, I managed Four Seasons QLD including assisting and implementing the national merger and acquisition of a second distribution company in QLD. Reporting back to the National Sales Manager I was responsible for driving State Sales objectives, vision and direction and negotiating with major customers and brand principals. As the State Sales Manager I was directly responsible for all the sales in QLD both on and off premise. My team of 4 Account Managers liaise with the client base under my direction. My key accountability includes forecasting, stock control, budgets, expenses, targets, advertising and the management of the sales team. It is a challenging and diverse role, with a large financial responsibility and portfolio of clients. Whilst I look after a small client base myself my main interest lies in the managing and monitoring my sales team’s call cycles, targets and KPI’s. I was involved in designing a National Trading Terms structure for the on and independent off premise sectors. Since starting in my current role I managed to increase the sales by over 200% from F07 to F08 and by 22% from F08 to F09 (by December 2008 this was up to 68%).Budgets were achieved in both years also. In F10 we were approaching 25% growth for the year.Executed and drove company policy, vision and culture in QLD. Managed complex supply and demand structure with 44 manufacturing sources representing 700 SKU’s, to meet the needs of 500 active QLD customers in both on and off premise distribution channels.
