Since I can remember I have always enjoyed solving problems with numbers. I am an extremely data-driven individual and this passion has definitely filtered through to my education and career choices. I chose to study Risk Management at Glasgow Caledonian University as it seemed to tick all the boxes in terms of my interests and it gave me great opportunities to explore the world of corporate finance, data and risk.Since graduating, I have been employed in two different roles in Chubb Insurance, as a Quality Risk Administrator and in my current role as a Multinational Policy Processor which I’ve held for two years. In my first role I lead the data analysis for an ongoing project which involved submitting daily data reports to senior management and providing detailed analysis to support the project deliverables. After I successfully completed that project, I progressed into my current role where I solely manage the processing of clinical trials on a global scale. Throughout this role I have managed to improve our data processes to enable faster clinical trial documentation and by doing so I successfully halved our initial SLA. I currently work as an Intercompany Insurer Analyst at Pen Underwriting. My main responsibility within this role is to liaise closely across multiple underwriting teams and external brokers to conduct investigations which result in the resolution of accounting queries and premium differences. A key aspect of this role involves ensuring that positive relations are maintained with various stakeholders within Pen Underwriting and external parties such as brokers, as well as driving investigations to a satisfactory resolution for both Pen and the broker, by leading monthly calls with underwriting teams to highlight any problematic areas and assist in resolving those problems.
