About Robbie Cheyne
For over a decade, I have designed and delivered complex programmes to meaningfully engage communities, young people, youth workers and key stakeholders across London. Thrive on working with people to problem solve issues impacting youth sector and beyond. Living in a supported accommodation hostel as a teenager in London helped inspire me to become a professional youth worker in a range of contexts including youth centres, hostels for 16-25 year olds to then eventually designing and managing large scale programmes for vulnerable young people. After one year as a Youth Consultant I was promoted to Lead Youth Consultant and took on a larger caseload of projects in London & the South East. I supported three young consultants in a supervisory capacity and managed the youth engagement support provided to projects in London & South East region. I designed and developed a package of training for young people that was used across the wider support team including training for BIG Lottery Grants officers. Planned and developed consultation methods designed specifically for young people to gauge their opinions and needs, ensuring that their voice is heard. The Myplace project was Government capital funding for brand new state of the art facilities for young people.
