About Robbie Mitchell
I have been a teacher for nearly 39 years. From 1999-2014 I was Head of Music / Performing Arts at an 11-16 comprehensive school, during which time I radically transformed the profile of Music (and later Drama and Dance) within the school. I led on the school’s successful bids for Music Specialism (2006) and Artsmark Gold (2008/12). I am now part-retired, but working freelance 3 days a week and looking to develop outreach projects and musical collaborations across educational phases, and within communities.
