Supervising the installation and infancy care program of multiple gas compressor projects for single, 2 and 6 stage centrifugal compressors. Laying of the foundations, compressor siting, grouting, compressor and gearbox internal checks, installation of lube oil skid and DGS panel, field checks and replacements of dry gas seals through to leak and pressure testing, final alignments complete commissioning package and handover. I am responsible for the complete package, liaising with the client and representing Borsig ZM in a professional and efficient manner. Co-ordinating local labour to achieve targets within agreed time frames. Reporting progress daily to headquarters in Germany and paying close attention to Health and Safety and Quality on site. A thoroughly challenging and enjoyable position which is both testing and developing my engineering and project management skills.
