I am strategy consultant and lecturer for corporations, non-profits, government agencies, and universities and have completed a book entitled "Xbox Revisited: A Game Plan for Corporate and Civic Renewal." My second book is a novel, "The Wilkes Insurrection."I am heavily involved in several non-profits boards including Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the Bipartisan Policy Center, and the Morehead-Cain Foundation. I am also on the board of directors at Magic Leap and am the co-owner of Manini's (a gluten free pasta, flour, and rolls company). I am a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and universities across the country, with an emphasis on strategy, marketing, and business management.

I was the company’s first American ex-pat overseas working as the manager of business operations in Paris, France. Upon returning to the United States in 1992, I played an important role as a marketing leader in the successful launch and expansion of the Microsoft Office business. Beginning in 1999, as Chief Xbox Officer, I led the creation and development of the Xbox business, including the launch of the original Xbox and the highly successful follow-on product, Xbox 360. I was ultimately responsible for Microsoft’s gaming, music, video, phone, and retail sales businesses and retired from Microsoft in 2010 as the President of the Entertainment and Devices Division.
