Scottish Golf is the governing body for the sport of golf in Scotland. We represent golfers and golf clubs to champion the sport in our country and maintain Scotland’s position at the forefront of golf. Scottish Golf’s role is to lead our clubs and provide the opportunity for everyone in Scotland to play golf for life.

Snowsport Scotland is appointed by sportscotland (the National Agency for sport) to act as the Scottish Governing Body (SGB) for Snowsports in Scotland. As Chair I lead the Board of Directors and CEO to work in partnership with our members, clubs, athletes and coaches, as well as stakeholder organisations to encourage increased participation in snowsports and to develop and support our best athletes to perform on the world stage.

Seconded to Scottish Government to lead the Venues, Events and Programme team for COP26

Responsible for the overall management of the planning and preparations for Scotland's responsibilities to host the 2014 Ryder Cup, I gained extensive project and operational planning leadership over 9 years leading on the successful delivery of this major international sporting event. I developed and implemented a comprehensive project management approach to ensure that the appropriate governance, financial and operational structures were in place to deliver Scotland's hosting commitments for the Ryder Cup on time and on budget. And as part of the longer terms benefits and legacy, created for the first time a long-term golf tournament investment strategy with the objective that Scotland would continue to host at least one men's, women's and/or senior 'major' golf tournament every year until at least 2020.
