- Created communities of practice within Pluribus Digital for engineering and design (with the Director of Product Design).- Partnered with the VP of Strategic Growth to evaluate, compete and lead modern procurement activities.- Modernized hiring at Pluribus Digitial (with the Director of Talent) to create a candidate-centric, equitable interview process- Provided oversight, mentorship and management of Pluribus Digital delivery team members, providing insight into modern digital services delivery, agile processes and creating human centered design focused products.

- Agencies supported: Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Agriculture, Department of Justice and a few others.- Core Team Lead on Vets.gov- Technical Product Owner for the content management system for VA.gov- Technical Lead / Architect for the Asylum Assessment Generator to support Asylum officers- Technical evaluator / procurement support: - Farmers.gov (Drupal) - the content management system for VA.gov ( Drupal) - migration of ADA.gov to a modern, cloud hosted version (Drupal / Acquia)- Interviewed over 200 engineers and helped train new interviewers and update the interview process.

The role of Director of Engineering is a multi-faceted role that includes technical management / evangelism, assisting sales teams suss out projects, to managing Phase2 engineering talent, and help shape the future of the business.- Technology Management / Evangelism - started a Node.js study group, and encouraged one of my direct reports to start hosting a Ruby / Rails happy hour and then attended and helped mentor.- Assist Sales Teams- evaluating business needs, from business requirements to technology assumptions to resourcing of those projects.- Managing Phase2 engineering talent - Understanding their current projects, helping assess where they can grow personally within that project and where they can grow in technology leadership sense within their current projects, discussing and resolving their issues, and help them figure out their career goals, and facilitate with how Phase2 can assist with those goals. - Help shape the future of the business - have ongoing discussions with upper management about the current state of the business, and help to shape the future of Phase2 by providing feedback, and perspective from many years of experience and working with those on the projects that are the core of Phase2's business

Working on a Node.js gateway API application that interacted with a SOAP based backend that served up data to a Ruby on Rails / Angular.JS application. The process was happily test-driven development and we are using a combination of Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Capybara, and atleast whenever we can pair programming. Also created the libraries / gems / modules to interact with the API (a Node.js module, a Ruby Gem and a Angular.JS service/package).

Worked with the Digital Platform Engineering team, to help architect / lead development against a Drupal 7 platform to host the consumer websites. To grow the team from 0 developers to 4 and to manage / mentor the team and oversee day-to-day development of this team. Manage the platform that was created and help to shape how it was used to meet the businesses needs.

Worked on the team that supported Zagat.com until it was no longer a Drupal site and passed off to an outside vendor. At that time transitioned to a team that helped grow Google's dataset around attributes by augmenting the code within the data pipeline that went from XML files to the GeoData repositories (C++ and Python work), eventually joined the team that created a CMS interface to data within Google's Geo product areas using Java & Angular.JS.

Was one of 4 principal engineers that helped architect and migrate Zagat.com from a custom ASP.net CMS to Drupal. Architected solutions for many of the new features that were being added including the ADs platform, the lists functionality and many others.

Working side-by-side with the developers, contractors, content editors, and administration to achieve the smooth execution of day-to-day operations of over 70 Drupal based musician's websites. The best part is that these interactions teach me something new daily.

Manage the Network Operations Center for the Human Resources Administration. Work with a team to use and implement open source solutions to replace proprietary, closed-source solutions.

Manage feild operations for 30 sites, dealing with day-to-day technical issues, training new hire site administrators, and act as a technical resource for the system administrators and be the central hub for outstanding issues internally and externally to my agency.

- Supported and maintained a Unix SVR4/Unixware 7.xx cluster to mainframe environment.- Initially hired as level one support and eventually rose to become level 3 support for the New York State Department of Social Services – help desk and support center- Configured, maintained and troubleshot network connectivity on a Frame Relay/ATM network across routers, switches, gigabit switches.

Administered and extended a web hosting platform from 20 sites to almost 400 websites. Ran day-to-day operations, responsible for all systems issues, upgrades and solutions.
