75% of a company's footprint is in its supply chain. More accurate—supply and value ecosystem. That we are ALL a part of. “Eating is an agricultural act.”Roughly 2 billion people malnourished—stuffed on unhealthy food while a billion are starved for basic nutrition. The promise of regenerative agriculture to heal the soil, support biodiversity, conserve water, sequester carbon, strengthen justice/equity/sovereignty/community, and restore balance and connection.Things that cannot be unseen. Let's get to work.I am fundamentally a designer. My hometown of New Orleans taught me how to see the world as a complex place and creative problem in which to participate ("...the flowering of creative intelligence"). Boulder has been generous, sharing its abundance of intellect, intention, consciousness, and accomplishment. I put that to work in projects like Good Spread, an organic food brand helping to eradicate severe acute malnutrition, the leading cause of death among children under 5; Trumpet, a purpose-focused brand studio; Idea Village, the world's leading place-based entrepreneurship ecosystem; I.E. Mills; a vertically integrated agriculture/food system demonstrating the social, cultural, economic, and environmental potential of heirloom grains; Tulane's Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine, linking the medical health community with food systems and nutrition; Uncanny Wellness; educating people on the benefits of water-soluble, full spectrum cbd and bridging access; and Natch, a media company using digital to level the playing field for purpose-driven natural food/product brand. Let's collaborate and use it all to inspire and implement solutions that align values, practical needs, and financial incentive to promote justice and inclusion; to do meaningful work and solve big problems. Today. The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

CeoGood Spread Oct 2015 - Dec 2022Good Spread is an organic food brand and culture experiment in social connection, justice, and advocacy, designed to engage the consumer market to help eradicate Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM, a chronic disease and leading cause of death among children under 5). It was born from a non-profit called MANA Nutrition. MANA makes a vitamin-fortified, therapeutic peanut butter (called RUTF--Ready to Use Therapeutic Food--created by Doctors Without Borders & UNICEF) that effectively cures SAM. 96% effective (improving the previous method by more than double). But only 1/3 of the RUTF needed is funded. We leveraged MANA’s supply chain (they make tons of peanut butter), vertically integrating GS to help close the funding gap for RUTF. Every product sold provides one treatment. It is the simplest way we could think of to get together with the millions of people who dig peanut butter ($1.8B sales, 92% of American pantries) and the ecosystem of grocers, distributors, etc. to save a child’s life.Good Spread continues to explore leveraged collaboration with global food companies and support the critical work of MANA to address the global epidemic of malnutrition (the obscenity of 2 Billion people obese/sick from nutritionally-poor food, and 1 billion facing starvation due to a lack of access to nutritional food). -
