At St. Anne's I taught weekly music classes to students in grades PreK-3 through 6th, and quarter long music electives to 7th & 8th grade students. I planned and prepared music for monthly School and Sunday school liturgies, formatted and published worships aids, directed the annual All School Christmas Sing Along, and engineered sound for the annual All School International Day Program.I led the St. Anne Catholic School Children's Choir at special parish and school events, community concerts, and aforementioned liturgies throughout the school year. Under my direction the choir's community event performances included the Houston Sister Cities September Concert, Catholic Charities Cardinal's Christmas Luncheon, a Rice University Basketball Game, the City of Houston Mayor's Citizenship Month Celebration, and the American Federation Pueri Cantores Texas Festival and Mass. While at St. Anne's, I directed the annual junior high musical productions of Honk! Jr, in 2013, and Seussical Jr. in 2014.I subscribe to a hybrid of Kodaly, Dalcroze, and Orff methodologies with a good dose of Catholic music history thrown into the mix. My prek-3,4 and kinder curriculum primarily follow the sequence of John Feierabend early childhood materials, with great emphasis on beat motions and singing voice. First, second, and third grades followed the Lamar Robertson Kodaly sequencing using American Kodaly songs (Snail Snail, Lucy Locket etc.) I used a lot of Dalcroze in my planning of activities and preparation for reading and writing in these grades. 4th grade students studied the recorder with a focus on score reading. 5th grade students focused on composition and performed a unison/2part choir musical. In 6th grade students surveyed of historic musical genres and studied one masterwork for a final presentation.Junior High Elective class topics include Tone Chime Choir, Beginning Music Theory, Advanced Music Theory, and Intro to Musical Theater.

In the inaugural year at Carter Lomax Middle School, I had the unique opportunity to advise school administrators in the planning of the new choir classroom and purchasing of music equipment. I taught 5th and 6th grade choir elective classes. Choir Performances included Fall Concert, Holiday Concert, District 6th Grade Choral Festival, and Spring Pop Show.

I joined with amazingly talented singers from all over the United States under the artistic/musical vision of Craig Hella Johnson for various concerts in Austin and around central Texas. I was honored to sing with this group in Copenhagen for the 2008 International Federation for Choral Music World Choral Symposium as well as on the Grammy nominated album, Requiem.
