- Designs and develops forging tools, dies and fixtures utilizing NX 8.5 for production of customer orthopedic products of varying types. (i.e. hips, knees, shoulders, & etc)- Reviews customer documentation to ensure the proper processes are implemented to produce parts efficiently and reduce scrap.- Communicates with customer on proposing changes when deemed necessary for manufacturing requirements.- Calculates die cavity and material volumes for thermal expansion and post forging processes to meet dimensional call outs.- Creates and revises internal drawings for production processing and operations.- Works with teammates in a timely manner to determine the best design and process to manufacture parts.- Resolves manufacturing problems or assists in overcoming manufacturing and processing difficulties.- Prepares and coordinates router operations for production components. Follows components through all production processes.

- Designed, prototyped, and tested latches, hinges, and quick access hardware with integrated sensors, switches, and actuators for next-generation small and large off-highway/construction vehicles that undergo severe and gritty environmental conditions..- Created requirements and oversaw high life cycle testing for extreme hot and cold temperatures, Arizona road dust, ultimate loading conditions, and wear and tear to prove out material selection and customer requirements.- Used Unigraphics NX 7.5 and Teamcenter 8 to manage large assemblies, components, and drawings with routed attributes.- Prepared drawings with Cartesian and G.D.&T. dimensions, B.O.M tables, and necessary manufacturing notations.- Prepared and assembled FDM and sheet metal prototypes for proof of concept, trade shows, and salesman demonstrations.- Generated and processed drawing changes through internal engineering databases..- Used analysis and performance tools (DFMEA, FEA, Tolerance Analysis, etc) to develop and refine designs for concept, prototype, F.A.I. inspection, and final production.- Discussed and brainstormed requirements and design changes with customer designers/managers.- Main clients included Caterpillar, John Deere, Freightliner, Volvo/Mack, BE Aerospace, GM, Ford, Chrysler and Jeep and a few others consisting of a multi-million revenue stream.- Has worked on 50+ concept to production programs, 2 military armored vehicle programs, hundreds of FDM and sheet metal prototypes, and has built 5 large-scale and high-visibility demonstration displays.
