I'm a trial lawyer and serve as Hughes Hubbard's Managing Partner. I'm also a member of the firm's Executive Committee. My practice is focused on complex litigation, including mass torts, class actions, product liability, employment and commercial claims. I have over 30 years of experience leading the defense of national and international products and mass tort litigation, with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical, medical device, and specialty chemical industries. In addition, I am Co-Chair of the firm's employment law practice and have defended all manner of employment-related claims. I also advise c-suite executives and board members on legal and risk-management issues. Since 2008, I have served as a pro bono legal advisor to the Board of Directors of the Make the Grade Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing mentoring and support to at-risk youth. I also provide pro bono legal services to composers and others in the music community.
