Gaining a wide variety of experiences across a variety of traditions.I helped people of all ages to develop a deeper faith. Building upon the experiences before and during ordination training we led large diocesan celebrations and youth events in locations such as Dewsbury Minster. Show less

Durham And Mirfield

Full time ordination training during which I studied for a Masters Degree in Theology and Ministry (MATM). My key area of study was liturgy with particular reference to Alt:Worship and its relationship with Anglicanism. I also researched the use of modern music in liturgy.

Working with a group of others to develop authentic ways of worshipping in the 21st century with the ancient traditions of the church. Over the years we have used good quality rock music and multimedia to bring the sacramental traditions of the church to people whom the church often struggles to engage with. We have written culturally authentic settings for the Eucharist and utilised a variety of sacred and secular music within worship.We organise The Rock Mass and have been invited to large venues such as Dewsbury Minster and Wakefield Cathedral as well as small parish churches. As an eccumenical and eclectic group we have also facilitated Methodist Rock Communion services. Over the past few years we have been invited to collaborate with Blessèd at Greenbelt and have led music in the Big Top for several years. We have also collaborated with Luminous, a worship community from Lincoln to play at the U2charist both at Lincoln and at Greenbelt. Show less
