(Reports~7 personnelWorked hand in glove with sales & key customers to offer enhanced more competitive coatings enabling:- an existing roofing fasteners account to triple over 2 years to $600K p.a. Gain a new account with a collated nail supplier (180K p.a.)• Identified root causes & implemented furnace upgrades to reduce Heat Treatment Re-works by 80%.• Implemented temperature profiling over a range of products & heat treatment furnaces, enabling a range of mid size parts to be re-routed from an overloaded “small” 4 ton/day furnace, to a larger 12 ton/day furnace, saving $90,000 p.a.• Managed an environmental ISO 14001 project, enabling treated electroplating effluent waters to be recycled back into the plating plant reducing fresh water consumption by 30%.

Provide technical support for electroplating; mechanical plating; paint line & effluent treatment.• Undertook a waste minimization project, reducing effluent sludge disposal from 1135 Kg to 96 Kg per ton of plated fasteners, saving $486,000 p.a.• Identified & implemented new process methods & chemicals, replacing a range of expensive propriety metal finishing products, saving $220,000 p.a.• Completed pilot line evaluation & corrosion testing approval of a new mechanical plating process, allowing an $850 K mechanical plating line investment to proceed at an expanded Moorabbin facility, and a smaller NSW production facility to be closed.• Completed pilot line evaluation & accelerated corrosion testing of a new paint coating to meet the AS3566 roofing fastener standard, enabling a $1,000K dip spin paint coating line investment to proceed.
