I have a passion for understanding leadership. This extends to all groups not just commercial. Many want leadership for their own benefit, some want it to better the group's solutions. Most do not even care if they know how it works as long as it gets results. My passion is for knowing why and how it works and how to communicate these ideas to others to enable them to own and apply their own effective solutions. Searching for, defining leadership in groups and designing the tools to communicate this knowledge is what I do. Yes, long term solutions, purpose driven teams, with group focused solutions.Practical applications for all situations and groups. We have a yearning for new scenarios to prove the tools can help and their application allows us to confirm the leadership theory. This work also provides me with many case samples to help develop new methods of communicating these concepts. My book "Actions into Leadership" is where the latest theory and tools are explained. It adds to the history of leadership theory by providing a single sentence definition of what leadership is, not the usual comparative examples of specific case leaders' actions. Added to this our "Decision Equation" is a simple tool everyone can use in every group, in every situation.I set up my management consultancy Your Development Partner Ltd (YDP) to spread the latest developments in the theory of leadership. There are now others with me who are expanding this experience bank and helping designing new tools and solutions for groups and organisations. We have been doing this for 15 years now mainly in China and Asia Pacific because this is an area we know. We are very mobile and not limited to Asia Pacific. Have knowledge and experience, will travel.
