I work with clients, listening to find out what they want to achieve and, working with their other trusted advisers, help to construct investment solutions for them. Rather than being “one-off” transactions, many of my relationships with clients can be measured in decades. My oldest client is over one hundred years old and my youngest, less than one (albeit he is related to a much larger and older client) - I take particular pride in these multi-generational relationships as a validation of everything we do for clients at Brewin Dolphin. Every client is different and I pride myself on delivering a personal service. From planning for school fees to accumulating funds for retirement, from a portfolio of investments designed to produce income to Inheritance Tax planning, we look after our clients’ lifetime needs. A flexible approach, regular communication and review meetings are all key to identifying how and when changes should be made to investments to keep them on track. Good quality financial advice is also important to make sure that any investments are in the most efficient environment to take advantage of current tax legislation and deliver as personal a service as possible. In summary, I build relationships with clients to provide a service that is personalised to them and focused on their individual objectives and lifetime goals.
