Project #1: Implementing required regulatory changes for the Finance Shared Services to comply with the US regulatory reporting requirements imposed on CIBC Bank after it acquired another Bank and other business entities in the US. Project 2: Evolving wide range of business technology systems and processes in accordance with CIBC's Network Transformation Strategy to align to the then-new business and governance model of grouping banking centers to create delineated 'communities'.

Senior Project Manager responsible for liaising with the Personal and Commercial Group to work on the implementation of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) projects team to make sure that the technology team delivered the multiple projects (6M annual spending) and change requests on time to make sure we met the regulatory requirements for the bank to comply with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Worked as a Senior Project Manager for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Enterprise PMO on several large projects that needed third party vendor’s involvement.

Senior Project Control Officer responsible for tracking and co-ordination of multiple projects simultaneously using MS Project 2010 and MS Project Enterprise 2003 including time tracking, resource management, risk management, issue management using MKS an in-house system and change request management. Managed financial tracking process, monitoring and maintaining records & updating monthly spreadsheets using an in-house developed Excel form to track and forecast all project expenses ranging from $200K to $50M per project. Responsible for co-ordination of all communication of project status to program office, completing project reports and escalating issues to the Program Manager/Director and Senior Management.

Senior Project Manager for the Global Anti Money Laundering (GAML) Project Management Office (PMO) supporting various AML Assurance projects and initiatives under the larger AML Assurance Program. Responsible and accountable for Shared Services Operations AML Remediation projects as well as the GAML Enterprise remediation projects in turn supporting business groups. For example, as the Senior Project Manager for the remediation of GAML Reporting and Governance Structure (RACI) and the implementation of the GAML Disaster Recovery projects. Additionally, supported the development and implementation for GAML PMO of several different OSFI and FINTRAC driven projects from initiation thru to completion and final presentation to the Challenge Review Committee Board the governing body responsible for the closure of regulator findings. Managed the Case Management Project under the Enterprise Client Risk Rating Program in a proof of Concept (POC) to determine and define a business case to initiate the program. The POC consisted of facilitating and managing requirements gathering sessions, executing on the TD EPMO PMLC methodology and vendor relationship management with 3rd party, SAS. Lead Senior Project Manager for the Program integration of the mbna credit card from Bank of America into TD Bank Financial Group (TDBFG) into GAML and the overall programs budget was $600M. The Program is made up of TD full time personal, Deloitte Consultant’s, Accenture Consultant’s and Capco Consultant’s. The integration was for three net new application for mbna; Client Risk Rating (CRR) using TSYS and the internal analytics group for scoring for the CRR business group, SAS AML application for transaction monitoring to feed cases for Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) business group and the Norkom Watchlist application for screening for Politically Exposed Persons (PEP’s) and Negative News from TD Sanctions group and for the EDD group to investigate.

Worked on multiple programs/projects simultaneously: The new Alpha Trading System that was connected with the Wallstreet Backoffice system (a new trading system to compete with the TSX), Trade Floor Consolidation (Migration from CAT5 to CAT6 and the standardization of all trading desk configurations), Multi Protocol Label Switching network implementation for the Chinese offices (Design, Implement and Migrated the three main offices to this new network), London Disaster Recovery Migration (move the Disaster Recovery site from IBM to SunGard), FCP Sever relocation Program (moving servers to new Data Centre)

Partnering with senior executive leadership to develop short- and long-term programs/services in alignment with key business plans. Leading key initiatives and providing consultation and advice to ensure effective and efficient implementation of programs and services.- Built a new team to take over the Job Profile Project for 6000 global operations personnel that was off target. This delivery was required within six months. Recognized that approval for the new plan was required from all the external vendors and executives. This project was delivered according to the new plan, under budget by $500K and the executive sponsor deemed this project and team to be extremely successful.- Created and implemented new tools and templates to improve the Project Management of IT projects, because Global Operation and IT had different methodologies that they were following.- Established a high performing team of ten Project Managers and business analysts to deliver projects by installing best practice thinking; adopting industry standard practices; establishing performance management processes; management of training and development programs.- Developed, built and implemented communication programs for all levels of management for all projects and programs in Global Operations and Intria.

Clients consisted of Banking, Telecommunications, Logistics, Insurance, Media, Consulting, and Government to implement internal and external projects.- Directed IT engagements for customer development and the delivery of the solutions.- Developed a delivery methodology for all IT engagements.- Managed 50 solution consultants that consisted of Practice Managers, Project Managers, Solution Architects and Installers.- Managed the consulting engagements including Professional Services within an infrastructure environment equaling $8M annually.Summary of Several Projects- The migration of six Compaq DEC Alpha Servers to two Sun 1200 Servers so the UNIX Architecture standards and is consistent with the Master Outsourcing Agreement (MOA) for a major financial institution.- The engagement of a data migration to a 60 Sun server platform which is attached to an EMC frame for the second largest telecommunication group in Ontario.- The Load Balancing of five Sun machines to host the Olympic web site for a major television network.- A multi million dollar IBM back-up and storage solution for one of the largest logistics companies in the world.- A Microsoft solution for the Federal government in three weeks to handle 500,000 simultaneous users, which included the Network Traffic management piece.- The first clustered Microsoft solution, which hosted an Intranet for a major financial institution.
