Remit Included;Managed a depot network of 10 in the in-house supply of small plant to Jarvis Rail Ltd – railway engi-neers (renewals, electrification, signalling and telecommunications, and projects). Analysed, developed and implemented the restructure of the Small Plant business due to a fore-casted 40% reduction in revenue year on year. Forecasted restructure to generate a 27% profit margin. Prior to restructuring exercise, increased the profit margin of the business from 18% to 24% by monitoring variable costs and introducing efficiency strategies to minimise them (06/07 – 8%).  Drew up CapEx board proposals to the value of £1.1m over 2008/2009, and monitored success-fulness of spend.  Reduced, and maintained, benchmark level for KPIs – Invoices on Hold, Plant Overdue Service and Aged Debt.  Introduced utilisation plan for core plant items – rail infrastructure ‘show stoppers’. Aligned group resources to best meet customer requirements and reducing any negative vari-ances.  Ensured compliance in professional body’s certification and accreditation through auditing process – internal and external.
