First class honors in Maths and Computer science leading to 5 years experience in Web Development. Then setup Fat Sand Productions to make kitesurfing DVDs - in the process learning how to be a cameraman, write scripts, edit video and author DVDs. Fat Sand now has the world's biggest selling range of kitesurfing instructional DVDs and over the next years we are moving the Progression brand into other niche sports. In 2007 we also started a general production department which is growing steadily offering our same level of passion for production, with high production values, to companies of all sizes. Owner & CeoProgression Sports Jun 2003 - PresentBrighton, United KingdomProgression Sports started as Fat Sand Ltd, essentially a lifestyle business based around my love of kitesurfing and an opportunity for a career change from web development to video production.Our first product saw us develop a method for sports instruction on DVD and 8 years later we have produced 8 instructional DVDs, sold over 60,000 copies across more than 120 countries. We've built a brand that is synonymous with high quality, in-depth instruction, trusted by a loyal customer base. Our newest release is our Progression Player iOS App, allowing kitesurfers to download individual videos for the tricks they want to learn, store them on their mobile device ready to learn wherever and whenever they like.We're a small company so my role is pretty varied - ideally working on new products whether thats filming or editing video content, development scripts, our web properties along with all the other boring stuff that needs to be done to ensure a company runs smoothly!
