A recognized industry leader, Rob has over twenty-five years experience as a Board Director, CEO or other software executive positions with demonstrated leadership success at startups, small, mid-size, and large companies, including Titus, Adaptive Computing, Symantec, Zimbra, Axent Technologies and Raxco Software. He has participated successfully in being acquired multiple times and in an IPO. He has also been closely involved in and driven the acquisitions of over 30 companies.Rob serves on the boards of Crypto Quantique (Chair), Cybral and White Cloud Security (Executive Chair). He currently serves as managing partner at Clyde Consulting LLC. He recently served for 9 years on the Board of Directors for ISACA (Past Chair, Chair, Governance and Nominating Committee Chair, Finance Committee Chair, Compensation Committee Chair). He served as CEO of Adaptive Computing, a software company that provides automated, intelligent workload and resource management for Big Data, cloud and high performance computing. Rob is National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship Certified™ and awarded the "NACD Board Leadership Fellow" designation. The NACD Directorship Certification™ program equips directors with the foundation of knowledge sought by boards to effectively contribute in the boardroom. As CTO at Symantec, he was a key member of the management team that drove its growth from slightly under $1B in revenue to over $5B, during which time the stock split three times. He was one of five executives that co-founded AXENT, driving revenues from $8M to $100M in four years, an IPO, and an eventual sale of the company to Symantec for $1B. Over his career, Rob has leadership experience in software development, research, quality assurance, product management, marketing, public relations, services, support, and pre-sales. While at Symantec, he also served as a founding Board Member and the Treasurer for the IT Information Sharing and Analysis Center (IT-ISAC), a non-profit IT industry organization and a founding Board Member of SAFEcode.An innovator and patent holder in his own right, Rob started Symantec’s research organization and understands how to translate new ideas and technologies into market success.
