I am an experienced, evidence- driven and inspiring leader, advisor and coach.I am passionate about helping people become better ‘Humans’ and organisations achieve their ‘success’ through effectively empowering their people. My love for science and the natural world has led to me undertaking a degree in Environmental Science with a view to pursuing a new career path that combines helping humans become better whilst also conserving the environment, in an organisation that recognises the transferable skills and experience I gained during my 12 years of British Army service.To overcome the impact of sustaining life-changing (and career ending) injuries, I have successfully used the power of sport and the outdoors to aid my recovery; successes include: winning 4 gold medals at the Invictus Games and being selected as the UK team vice- captain, completing multiple ironman triathlons, and leading the disabled- record- setting team in the Enduroman Arch2Arc triathlon challenge.

Following serious injuries sustained in Afghanistan including a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), spinal cord injury and hearing loss, I have undertaken various forms of rehabilitation at Headley Court, nationwide centres and at home. I have used sport as a tool for recovery extensively with some amazing opportunities and successes including completing an IronMan triathlon and winning 2 gold medals at the inaugural Invictus Games in London in 2014. I was selected to attend the BBC SPOTYs on behalf of the Invictus Games athletes to collect the Helen Rollason Award.Throughout my recovery I have received some exceptional support from service charities, namely Help for Heroes and SSAFA, for which I am very grateful and I continue to support whenever I can.

During this period, I deployed to Afghanistan twice in frontline operational planning, liaison and advisory roles.
