Rob Deering is currently a Shareholder of J Supple Law PC. Mr. Deering received his law degree from the University of San Diego. He comes from a long line of attorneys and physicians and is passionate about healthcare defense. Mr. Deering has successfully defended hospitals, physicians and staff in matters involving a variety of allegations, including birth injuries, failure to diagnose, EMTALA violations and alleged malpractice in a broad spectrum of surgical cases. As a Shareholder with J Supple Law PC, Mr. Deering has broadened his practice to include all aspects of professional liability defense, including the representation of long-term care facilities and mental health professionals. Mr. Deering is currently admitted to practice law in California and Washington.

Healthcare defense.

Actively engage in all aspects of medical malpractice defense, including drafting and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and preparing dispositive motions. Represent physicians, registered nurses, hospitals and other health care providers in the defense of complex, multi-party claims before the Superior Court, California Court of Appeals, California Medical Board, and private arbitrators. Advise health plans and insurers on risk management, state and federal regulatory compliance, and likelihood of success at trial.

Represented municipalities, corporations, and public agencies in a variety of litigation and transactional matters. Advised public agency on applicability of federal and state labor laws and prevailing wage requirements. Led due diligence team researching issues related to state and federal accessibility guidelines and crafted legal opinion which was utilized in the design and construction of a 30-unit low-income housing development. Successfully represented estate in wrongful death action. Worked with county officials to negotiate real property tax exemption, saving public agency millions of dollars annually.
