I am a communicator who has been serving in a marketing role most of my career. No matter my title, my professional goal is to use my communications skills to build relationships, both with customers and teammates and I consider myself successful in initiating these relationships.It's impossible to reach every customer individually, but I push myself to deliver information that is useful and valued when it is received. My primary delivery method is by digital means, but I’m also adept at communicating through traditional means. In a cluttered world of information, I enjoy reaching people personally on their own terms and in their preferred spaces. Finding those spaces is a challenge I enjoy. I value our guests’ time, and I understand that I must create reasons for people to communicate with us.I go to work every day in order to improve guest services, resort marketing, and team member, guest and digital communications. I think like a guest, so I never cease to have many ideas on how to provide guest satisfaction and boost team morale. It's my goal to see guests satisfied with their experiences.I want to feel connected. I want to make a difference in people's lives so service to others is my life goal. Better people make better friends and colleagues, so I like to help people develop professionally and personally. To improve my colleagues' lives professionally, I enjoy working alongside them to develop relationships. Meeting them in their roles helps me understand their value to the French Lick Resort so I can provide servant leadership, information and support. Finally, I strive to provide leadership to people in order to restore and develop their faith and morale. My personal goals very much overlap my professional goals. I once read somewhere that having fun should be a job qualification. Considering that, I take my job seriously but myself lightly. I practice kindness and patience to manage gently. I enjoy team building and leading people when called upon to formulate successful strategies or complete a project.As I reflect, here's what I see in my personal and professional lives: successes, failures, fired, disgraced, offered grace, forgiven, undeserved, loved, disliked, ignored, hardworking, often privileged, provider, chosen, outcast, driven, compassionate, often too apathetic, empathetic, criticized, credited, prideful, sometimes humble, unworthy, blessed, protector, vulnerable, laughs at myself, has taken myself too seriously. Read into that however you wish but no matter what my season of life, I'm a Child of God.
