Brand Consultant
Modular Studio is a branding and strategy consultancy. Modular focuses on delivering goal-oriented strategies and identities for business in Western Australia. With the teamwork and support of my brother, we created Modular in 2018 as a way to provide thoughtful branding and marketing assistance without any of the posturing. We worked with clients to get to the root of their most pressing problems. Whether they needed to increase their sales, improve their credibility and trustworthiness, get their name out into the market or convey the quality of their products and services, we designed strategies with measurable results. And we didn't just make pretty things for the sake of things being pretty (of course, all the things we created were pretty as well). As a Brand Consultant, I was responsible for making sure we hit our deadlines, keeping customers in the loop and utilising their expertise, conducting research for strategies, developing written content and wireframing branding identities. My favourite part of the job was working with clients to create great strategies.

Marketing And Operations Manager & Co-Founder
Cordially is a technology start-up that creates powerful tools for property managers and their tenants in the private rental sector. Cordially was a member of the 2019 Plus 8 cohort through Spacecubed and through the program developed the Cordially Remote Rental Inspection Tool. The remote rental inspection app allows tenants to undertake rental inspections for their property managers. Using guided screens and prompts, tenants are herded through their homes and asked to take photos of key areas and rooms. During my time at Cordially, we were testing and developing version 0.1 of the app with a small group of property management agencies in Western Australia. As one of the two founders of the Cordially team, I was responsible for managing operations, overseeing marketing, leading product development, implementing branding and conducting user testing. During the infancy of the company, I led the development and implementation of marketing plans, worked on the company story and laid the groundwork for the organisation's culture, planned, developed and edited online content.
Business Development Associate
At Helium I worked as the company's first Business Development Associate. It was my responsibility to meet new clients and advise them on the best marketing solutions to generate results and sales for their businesses. While at Helium I:- Worked together with graphic designers and web developers to successfully deliver client projects (including website design, graphic design and marketing strategy).- Conducted client meetings and interviews and advised potential clients on projects that could help their businesses.- Maintained a strict schedule of meetings and sales outreach to secure new clients.- Communicated via email, phone and in-person with a range of suppliers, stakeholders and clients.
Store Manager
I was promoted to the Store Manager of The State Buildings branch of Bailey Nelson after 6 months of working as the Assistant Store Manager. And boy is there a big difference between Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager. The position challenged me to develop skills in employee coaching (which was my favourite part) and working with head office to implement top-down decisions (not so much of a favourite). It was from this experience that my love for developing the talents of team members blossomed.I left Bailey Nelson to move into a role in a marketing agency. In summary, Bailey Nelson was a fantastic business to work for and they spent a considerable amount of time and resources developing their team.
Assistant Store Manager
I took up the position of Assistant Store Manager at Bailey Nelson just shy of my one-year anniversary with the company. I was tasked with supporting the Store Manager and making sure the store, the team in it and the customers visiting it were well taken care of. It was in this role that I gained my first exposure to providing team members with feedback and the interviewing process.
Stylist And Dispenser
Bailey Nelson is an Australian Eyewear company with the mission of making beautiful and affordable eyewear. I first applied to work for the company because I loved their ethics and outstanding organisational culture. I held a position as a casual staff member for 10 months while I was finishing off my studies at university, developing the skills and knowledge needed to be a productive team member within the Optical Industry.
Casual Senior Customer Support Officer For It Service Centre
The IT Service Centre is the front stage of the IT department at ECU. The role required patient and dedicated communication skills, effective troubleshooting and problem-solving. I was given the opportunity to work not only for the customer, but with them, to resolve critical pain points.I didn't have much experience with Windows when I started this role but I quickly developed the skills I needed to complement my knowledge of MacOS and provide robust and enjoyable customer service. This was also my first experience of working within a call centre format (which isn't that bad so long as you're working for a good company or organisation).
Marketing Intern
I worked with Tech Mpire as a Marketing Intern for a period of two months. Tech Mpire offered advertising services to their clients across the world and my job was to promote the platform through the Tech Mpire website and via social media. I also spent time analysing sales data, creating spreadsheets and migrating data between competitor analysis platforms.
Marketing And Communications Intern
My internship at the PMH Foundation really kickstarted my ability to seek feedback and communicate with others to complete a task. Working directly under the Marketing Coordinator, I was required to create marketing materials and analyse corporate communications designed for the public. This was my first taste of working in an office and I loved the camaraderie among the team and the office as a whole.
