Responsible for web application development, content management and web systems integration using the Council’s Content Management Systems (Jadu), online forms system (Firmstep Forms, Ebase) and related back-office systems.I also act as a key contact and expert for the Council for advice and guidance on best practice on web development, accessibility and usability within the Council’s web environment. I ensure the Council’s web content and web applications adhere to best practice with regards to recognized web/government standards and accessibility and provide training to departmental users as part of devolved content management publishing.I also manage the devolved website publishing process by maintaining quality control to ensure consistency, accuracy, timeliness and relevance of information by enforcing Corporate Web Standards.

Initially responsible for helping to migrate website content to the new Jadu content management system.I subsequently became responsible for the day to day editing of the website using my knowledge of writing for the web and XHTML and extending the functionality of the CMS and website using PHP and JavaScript.

Responsible for building, editing and proofreading intranet and Internet pages according to a style guide using Microsoft CMS.RAPID. I also trained staff in using the content management system and writing for the web.

Wrote and edited the A to Z of Services section of www.harrow.gov.uk according to a style guide using the Jadu Content Management System.

Researched, wrote and edited for corporate and customer-facing publications and websites for this not-for-profit social housing group.
