Reports directly to the Chief Administrator, Chief Information Officer and the Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court. Responsible for providing Enterprise and Solutions Architecture strategic planning and program management for the Courts and Judicial branch of Washington State. Responsible for the oversite of Enterprise and Solutions architects with a budget of $2 million in staff and equipment. Completely re-established the Office of Architecture and Strategy by introducing the concept of Enterprise Reference Architecture and EA Guiding Principles to the Administrative Office of the Courts. Following established industry practices, created Policies, Standards, Strategic Roadmaps, updated numerous processes and procedures across the organization and reinforced a strong business partnership between the courts business units, Information Services Division and all levels of courts within the Judicial Branch.Administrative Office of the Courts is the Data as a Service (DaaS) provider for the entire Judicial System within the Washington State courts communities including Supreme, Superior, Appellate, Juvenile, Courts of Limited Jurisdiction, District, County, and City/Municipal courts. Our external partners include other state and federal agencies as well as law firms across the state and country. The Office of Architecture and Strategy determines the overall strategic technical direction for the agency and Judicial Information System (JIS); and designs and architects technology solutions that align with that direction and meet the business needs of Washington Courts systems.
