Providing 3-D Modeling and Drafting support for various projects/expiriments for the United States Manned Space Flight Program aboard the ISS.(Assigned to QinetiQ @ KSC Fl – NASA) (Design Tool: UG-NX, Solid Works, AutoCad & Pro-E Creo)Tasked to Lead a team of 3, designing parts & Assembly’s (Assy’s) for experiments for the ONLY American flying space flight hardware on the International Space Station (ISS) since the end of the Space Shuttle program. This position required mentoring & teaching Modeling techniques, Drawing Stds and GD&T to the team I was assigned as lead over, overseeing the completions of various Dwg Packages, provide completion schedule info to the group we were supporting and ensured on time delivery of tasks. Assigned to redesign experimental chambers and equipment for continuing use for simultaneous experiments both on earth & aboard the ISS. 3-D modeling & 2-D drafting modules were used to successfully complete this project‘s extremely tight schedule. Also assigned to support the Electrical Design Launch (EDL) Engineering Group to assist in getting several design packages complete and thru to fabrication & Documentation for the newly modified Launch Pad (B).

This position requires designing components used on sports boats & yachts.Responsibilities included (but not limited to):- understanding (within the micromanagment acceptable limts) a concept from marketing studies for trends within the publics interests for future sales.- designing several concepts to resolve a wide range of issues such as feasability studies, cost analysis (Prototype fabrication, Limited Qty Production & End item out the door), Consumer safety, legalities and liabilities, salt water and harsh environment conditions, maritime and some international design requirements, naval architecture, asthetics, etc..- Diverse knowledge of boat hull design, overall weight, performance, balance concerns and performance.- working in both small and large teams on super tight schedules.- the ability to constantly & quickly brainstorm ongoing 'scope of the design' prameter changes within a confined envelope that drive design changes without affecting project completion dates.- Interfacing with Asthetic design, Fiberglass fabrication, Elecetricalsystem design, Naval Architecture and hull design groups along with internal and external vendors.

United Space Alliance, @ KSC,Fl. Designing components to support Space Shuttles Grnd & Flght operations. Lead a team tasked with modeling in 3-D most of the major components used to support manned/unmanned space programs. These included: VAB, MLP, CT, Pad & OPF along w/various platforms & stands. All were modeled accurately down to the raw component level & were used for various graphics during the initial & present Shuttle to "new vehicle" (Ares1, Constellation, Orion & CALV) transition.w/USA. I was involved w/several MAJOR HIGH PROFILE/PRIORITY Design Proposal efforts regarding the Space Shuttle Replacement Vehicles programs & most recently an effort directly for NASA to redesign the LC-39 GSE & Fac's for unmanned vehicle support, listed as follows.2005, I was included in a small 40 person team assigned with the designs & study of a Shuttle replacement vehicle which later involved me in teams for a temporary MLP Tower for the Ares (A1-X) along with Pad VAB & MLP modifications. From the initial press releases in 2006 thru present, a majority of the graphics used by various media outlets are my work.Also Lead Design Engineer on an Extendng Truss for Earth, Lunar & 'in Orbit' use. These were done using: SDRC Master Series, UG-NX [thru 7.5] (thru Team Center) & Pro-E (Wildfire 3.0).2010, recruited for a high priority, high profile team tasked with designing a system for NASA KSC to modify existing GSE & Fac's to support launching various rockets, both manned/unmanned vehicles.While w/USA, I was lent out to NASA, Langley Research Center & ATK (Thiokol) to provide 3-D support to determine and develop a high speed photogammatic program to help track the origins of FOD recorded during a launch & analyzing it within hours as opposed to a days. (published & credited as co-author.)Also my work was published in NASA Tech Briefs involving a new Fire suppression system for Nasa's Crawler Transported which my 3-D models served as a development tool for this system.
