I have more than a decade of remote power generation experience in Australia, working in busy, deadline focused, technical sales roles for generator OEMs and distributors, power station EPC providers and Independent Power Providers. My main responsibilities have generally been:- responding to formal tender enquiries, modelling both the optimum energy mix for lowest LCOE and project financial returns, working with engineering support functions, managing direct reports, writing technical proposals and compiling returnable schedules, presenting technical solutions to potential clients, drafting early works agreements and PPA Term Sheets, providing assistance with the negotiation of sales / EPC / PPA contract terms to close, overall pipeline management and reporting on business growth to the executive team.From my time in the power generation space, I have an excellent understanding of the specific technical and economic drivers large commercial and industrial customers consider when purchasing either capital equipment or remote power supplied from Hybrid power stations. I possess strong business development skills, a hands-on 'can do' attitude and have enjoyed significant success throughout my career, bidding and winning often large, complex and innovative power generation projects. I have a broad knowledge base of decarbonisation strategies and new energy technology, having worked on opportunities utilising the full suite of currently economically viable power generation options including: thermal (both high speed and medium speed gas and diesel generator sets), Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Wind Turbines.
