Worked with ATV/SxS Vehicle Research Fuel Systems Group. Developed engine simulation model using AVL Boost to justify engine modifications. Designed and fabricated automated engine test stand for unmanned testing. Test stand allows fuel system group to perform cold start-ability testing in cold chamber with zero human interaction during work and non work hours. Development of test stand utilized many skills including: Knowledge of engine and subsystem operations, fabrication, circuits, understanding data acquisition and 3D modeling. Test stand decreased man hours required for testing, decreased turn around time required for testing, decrease testing cost and increased overall testing efficiency for vehicle research department.
