These duties required working with the professor in order to create homework and projects that covered the material taught in the course.

Investigating the dynamic aspects of electro osmotic flow in micro- and nano-fluidic channels. A frequency response model of electro osmotic actuators was developed to provide a generalized solution to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with temporal resolution under an arbitrary applied electric field. Theory is being validated through tracking of immersed particles via a high-speed camera and customized LabVIEW software for image analysis. Involved the use of function generators, voltage amplifiers, oscilloscopes, microscope equipment, and a CMOS camera.

Teaching Assistant for a Fluid Mechanics course. Duties that were expected included: holding regular weekly office hours, creating problem sets and solutions, grading exams and homework, proctoring exams, and holding workshops to help guide students use Excel for Numerical Approximation.

Worked on the Wind Tunnel at UCSB. Job required ordering of parts, machining, and assembling to help ensure the safety around the wind tunnel. Repaired a dynamometer to help obtain measurements of drag force in the wind tunnel. Demonstrated streaklines across an air foil for students in a Fluid Mechanics course. Helped them understand at what angle of attack would the air foil stall from the streaklines demonstration.
