My general interest is computer science education. My research focus is on simulation, especially simulation of conventional combat operations. Following my military career, I have worked as a government contractor in the field of operations analysis, and now share my professional time between operations analysis and teaching. In my personal life I am interested in music (violin and guitar), and in the hobby of historical wargaming, both online and using military miniatures. I am an ambassador with Plexus, a nutritional supplement wellness product. I am happily married to Cynthia, with whom I have three grown children, six cats, a dog, and twelve chickens.
