In January 2019 I went back to my previous role at National Service Center. Over the years I have adopted a more senior role with the responsibility to introduce new employers. I was responsible for an intern for six months, planning her days at our unit. I have also audited decisions made by the unit in regard to visiting permits. I have conducted this role both as a group leader responsible for the final report and as a regular member of the vetting group. I have also continued to with previous assignments within the unit.

During the autumn of 2018 I was working in the pilot project Asyl360. As an asylum case officer, I tested if decisions can be made within 30 days in at least 50 % of the asylum cases. My responsibilities included enquires, administrative duties and decision-making. The position requires knowledge of the law, the ability to work under time limits, and a structured way of working.

The National Service Centre is the reception of the Migration Agency. Visitors come to ask question about their applications and to hand in documents. My day at the Migrations agency was typically divided into two:Customer service:Visitors would come and ask questions in regards to the operations of the Migration Agency and hand in documents for applications. As a case officer I practiced the skills I learned during my study time to find out what the visitors wanted from their visit. To handle my duties I had to deal with frustrated and sometimes traumatized individuals. Administrative duties:- Taking decisions in applications regarding daily allowances for refugees and extension of visitors permits. - Taking care of supporting documents for various applications including passports and birth certificates.- Communicate with other departments of the Migration Agency to provide urgent information in regards to applications.

Future in our Hands (FIOH) has three units connected to their intervention programs:The School Development Unit, the Community Development Unit and the Construction Unit.My main responsibilities during my time at FIOH was connected to communication, capacity building and field work.Communication:- Develop Goal-Matrix of the organisation- Write articles for newsletter, webpage and newspaper Vida Vyer- Update Facebook groupCapacity-building- Held two workshops about the SDG's- Provided assistance with computer skills- Educated staff about peace and conflictField-work- Visited project sites during all stages of intervention (Planning, intervention evaluation)- Lived within communities of intervention villages- Wrote reports of field-work activities.

Mölndal

At the center unaccompanied children at the start of their asylum application lived. It was of utmost importance to create stability, to restore faith in authorities and be a point of safety for the sometimes traumatized children. This position involved responding and giving correct information to both the children and the authorities involved. During my assignment I had three main responsibilities:Administration:I took on administrative responsibilities such as registration of medical history, registration of entry and leaving date of the children at the centre. These assignments improved my organisational skills.Communication:I made sure that the children attended various meetings with the Swedish Migration Agency, hospitals and communicated with municipalities of their future placement. Activation: I planned activities for the children during the days and acted as a mediator in times of conflict thus contributing to a peaceful environment at the center.
