Sr. Controls Engineer.Building Controls evangelist within the company. This involved the training of technicians, engineers, the sales team, project managers, and members of the management team. I am passionate about providing customers with a well designed and installed system.I was involved with every aspect of our controls systems, starting with assisting the sales team in project development and ending with customer training and tech support. Other duties include but are not limited to Estimating, Creation of cost sheets, Retrofit engineering, Programming several platforms, Project Drawings, Controls Graphics, Project management, Hiring and overseeing of contractors, Training of customers.Projects include integration of various controls platforms through the use of Niagara 4 as well as complete systems built with our Honeywell - Alerton control line. Larger control sites have included building fiber optic networks to link multiple buildings on a large property together. Vertical markets include Surgery centers, Assisted living centers, Condos, Animal shelters, Resorts, Vacation clubs, High-rise tenant/office buildings, Colleges, Community centers, and Country clubs.

I was also required to support Carrier CCN controls on some of our customers sites.

Traveled the U.S. installing Novar controls for Novar national accounts as well as repairs, upgrades and troubleshooting for a Novar NTC national chain account. Commissioning Novar controls at Wal-Mart for the Novar Wal-mart group. Installing Automated logic controls in a national chain for Automated logic.I developed a reputation as the person to call when others failed to troubleshoot issues with controls systems.In addition to installing building controls I also installed and serviced CCTV, Fire alarms, Burglar alarms and access control systems during the same time period.

While working with Low voltage specialties, most of my work was performed for Novar controls national accounts. Duties included site surveys, commissioning, installation and troubleshooting of Novar controls on Big Box stores around the continental U.S. Big box chains include, TJmax, Marshalls, Home Goods, Service merchandise, Bed Bath and Beyond, Lowes, Office Max, Staples, Babies R Us, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and several others. Work on these sites were a combination of new construction and retrofits and required coordinating work with other trades and general contractors.Retrofits required being invisible to the stores customers since work is performed during normal business hours. Equipment needed to be retrofitted without interruption of business or causing discomfort to customers or stores employees.During this time I installed or helped install control systems in over 1000 sites and serviced and commissioned hundreds more.
