Thoroughly experienced in Standard items, GSO manual, Mil Std 1689, Mil Std 278 and Mil Std 22D. Proficient blueprint reading skills. I write condition found reports, perform structural inspections and estimate manhour requirements. I also use the requesition system to order and track materials necessary for job requirements. I am currently responsible for 12 deck plate supervisors and approximately 60-100 mechanics. I have successfully completed many drydocking ship repair periods and over hauls and have thorough knowledge of all structural components aboard naval vessels. I began my career with Earl Industries in 1995 as a first class shipfitter, and was promoted to specialist by 1999 I was again promoted to lead person and in 2000 to foreman and 2004 was promoted to general foreman. I have excelent leadership skills. I also have 23 years in the US Navy and am a Vietnam veteran. Show less
