I'm a fourth-year Journalism and Professional Writing/Creative Writing and Literature student at the University of South Australia. Additionally, I sub-major in History and Global Politics. Before starting my degree, I completed the University of South Australia's Foundation Studies program and sequentially became a PASS Tutor for two years to help people excel. Throughout my degree, and with my experience as a PASS Tutor at UniSA College, I've come to excel at the distillation of complex ideas into easily digestible reading experiences.I volunteer as a journalist for the University of South Australia's student-run publication On The Record, covering topics of local importance to UniSA and the South Australian community more broadly. Amongst the team, I specialize in Australian politics and broader societal movements.My cross-disciplinary studies into creative writing and literature have lent my work a well-honed flair when it is needed in feature stories and have given me an appreciation for the art of journalism itself. My studies into history and global politics have allowed me to appreciate the wider world of global journalism and the interactions between the state and the fourth estate. Additionally, both facilitated the honing of research skills and improved my insight into topics such as philosophy, international relations, narrative theory, and visual media storytelling.
