The essence of my job is to lead my team in getting the VIPs to their destinations unharmed, on time, and without interruption of service. *Accomplishment: Coordinated emergency movement of personnel in a hostile zone. Upon receiving an emergency intelligence report about a security breakdown in Baghdad’s green zone and Iraqi military/police leaving their posts, I led the evacuation of State Department personnel to the U.S. Embassy, acting as Tactical Commander in the lead vehicle of the convoy. I successfully navigated through heavy traffic and hostile protesters, modifying the route multiple times in cooperation with the Iraqi government, local interpreter, Intel shop, and GPS. Notified local law enforcement for follow-up or questioned suspects personally, as the case warranted. *Accomplishment: Investigated and solved a case of associate theft, recovering $5,000 from an employee who had hidden merchandise in a large cooler during lunch breaks.
