I have over two decades of experience in industry working through a range of progressive management positions, including senior roles in corporate financial management , information systems and human resources. During that time, I have been accountable for the financial management, information systems, communications systems, insurance requirements and treasury functions. I have worked to shape corporate culture, improve business operations, along with providing financial modeling, and reporting to shareholders. I have been responsible for computer operations including network security, system deployment projects, budgeting and decision-making. I have been directly involved in information management systems and technology (IMIT) for three decades and have extensive experience in computer systems, network security, accounting systems, operational databases, and integration of technology in manufacturing operations. My work experience is combined with academic education. I am a problem solver and enjoy devising innovative solutions to challenges that I am confronted with. My continued education has spanned the areas of business strategy, risk management, due diligence, and information security. In the area of Human Resources, I have experience in operational management, safety, job evaluation, on-boarding, performance reviews, HR policy, recruitment (including international recruitment), retention methods, benefits and staff development programs. I completed an MBA in executive management and my academic thesis focused on succession planning in family businesses. My thesis specifically examined the contrasting views from family and non-family stakeholders in family owned operations. The experience was enlightening and further developed my research skills and business culture awareness. Beyond business experience and education, I have competed in 5 Ironman triathlons and 14 full distance marathons.
