Highlights:• Standardised network topology and architecture of Vodafone Group and associated operating companies.• Delivered highly scalable mobile L3 MPLS backhaul network for Vodafone Greece. • Designed and implemented hierarchical 20K node mobile backhaul solution for Vodacom South Africa. • Architected BT’s next-generation Managed Ethernet Access Services network across 20K endpoints.

I was Technical Design Authority, solution architect and pre- and post-sales engineering support for T-Mobile, Inmarsat and Vodafone mobile backhaul projects and delivery of next-generation 2G and 3G networks and services. I drafted design propositions, prepared responses to technical questions, tenders and customer queries, and worked closely with sales teams to convert opportunities into revenue streams.I architected the core packet network for Vodafone’s IP services, utilising Juniper technologies, and enlisted Cisco Systems products for the Inmarsat DCN and security solution and roll-out.

I provided network infrastructure engineering and supported the implementation of the new Terrestrial Trunk Radio (TETRA) network for use by government agencies, emergency services, public safety networks, rail transportation and the military. In addition, I rolled out the Cisco core product platform and firewall solution.
