Since 1999 when Rob Ault became owner and president of Pacific Sun Aquatech, he has taken the company from twenty to eighty employees, implemented and developed three new company divisions; pool service, tile /masonry subcontract, and landscape design/construction. The company conducts as many as 1,200 in-house consultations for residential swimming pool and landscape projects annually. In addition they work with architects, custom home builders, and commercial development companies. Pacific Sun has designed and built over 2,500 projects during his tenure as the owner and president. During this time Pacific Sun has won over 200 design awards in local, national, and international competitions. Rob is also proud of the fact that as the owner, he quickly established established a retirement plan for the Pacific Sun Aquatech employees, as well as providing many other benefits including full medical insurance.

In 1993 Rob Ault formed his own distribution company which is still in business today selling its own line of silicone products to the pool and spa industry. The line includes silicone tile adhesive and grout as well as a general purpose silicone that is sold to portable spa and fiberglass pool manufacturers and to wholesale pool supply companies.
