Robert Azzopardi is a Maltese born sound recordist and sound designer.A medical laboratory scientist academically but a sound enthusiast by passion, Robert always sought the magic that the auditory sense can convey to an audience. From the very early stages of his career, his passion has helped him move quickly through the challenging paths of the film industry and proved he can exceed expectations, even when working alongside top professionals. From the flexibility and improvisation required in small sets, to effective teamwork and alertness required in larger sets, Robert has always been up to the task. His drive and keen eye for detail was immediately recognised by respected film producers commissioning him for various movies and TV networks such as MTV, History Channel and Nickelodeon & Kevin Reynold’s “Risen” and James Marsh’s “The Mercy”, as well as various other short films, features and prominent corporate clients like HSBC, Vodafone, Coca Cola and McDonald’s amongst others.Fuelled by versatility and intrigued by various avant-garde expressions of the sound medium, Robert is continually on the alert for that aural factor that would take the viewership experience to a whole new level.
