-Led research for Google Nest to support product teams working on the Pixel Tablet and other smart home products and services.

-As a business owner, I conducted digital marketing, business development, and operational activities, including website and social media.-Instructed and coached a diverse set of K-12 and adult students, virtually and in person.-Evaluated needs of neurodiverse students and their families, and developed and implemented plans for reaching academic and personal goals; I worked closely with students with ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, and executive functioning issues.-Provided college admission consulting (school selection, essay support), with specializations in first-generation students and athletes.-Representative client engagements included: providing coaching and editing services to a Fortune 500 engineering executive; hired directly by private schools to remediate developmental delays in the transition to high school; designing and implementing (via Zoom) math enrichment curricula for elementary school students who relocated to Australia due to the COVID-19 pandemic; designing and implementing reading enrichment curriculum around science fiction classics for middle school student interested in coding, app development, and robotics.

-Created lesson plans and instruct elementary, middle and high school students in test prep, study skills, homework support, ESL, both in person and virtually.-Mentored junior tutors.-Reviewed SSAT study guides and advised company on which to use.-Designed and implemented curriculum for "History of San Francisco" course.-Participated in marketing activities, including promotional video and newsletter.-Promoted twice.

-PhD specialization: cultural anthropology, public health, and qualitative research methods and ethics.-My dissertation is an ethnographic study based on two years of anthropological fieldwork across the United States. The primary aim of my research is to understand the health care journeys of injured workers using a workers' compensation insurance program. A secondary aim is to identify obstacles blocking attempts at reform of this program.-This research involved multiple qualitative methodologies to collect data and generate insights, including ethnography, contextual inquiry, observations, interviews, and historical research in archives. Field research occurred in people's homes, online, and in medical, legal, and government settings.-Co-organized a day-long symposium and multiple conference panels and workshops on qualitative research methods.-Published research findings in peer-reviewed publication and presented research findings at industry conferences.

-Researched funding opportunities and drafted grant application materials for a documentary film project.-Interviewed and shadowed production staff at work in order to generate written materials the producers could use to communicate their vision of the project to potential funders.

-As a seminar leader for an introductory public health course, I conducted a weekly seminar for 15-30 graduate students exploring qualitative methods for analyzing public health problems and developing and implementing sustainable, pragmatic, and culturally-sensitive health programs. -I designed the seminars to follow a workshop format, I developed and graded all student assignments, and I offered weekly office hours and and intensive review sessions.-In this role, I balanced the competing needs, requirements, and interests of multiple stakeholder groups, including my students, supervising faculty, the department, and the university administration.

-Created a data base and coding scheme for qualitative survey data from a national project to pilot and evaluate the use of web-based technologies in medical care for HIV+ individuals.-Conducted literature reviews, data entry, and data cleaning as requested.

-As a teaching assistant for a two-semester course on human behavior and social systems, I planned and facilitated discussion activities for 50 first-year graduate students to reinforce the content of weekly lectures.-I held weekly office hours, graded all written work, and assigned final grades in consultation with course faculty.

-Conducted street-based recruitment, observation, interviews, and focus groups for an ethnographic study of HIV+ New Yorkers who chose to go unconnected to care despite knowing their HIV diagnosis. This research was part of a larger sociological cohort study of the experiences of HIV+ New York city residents with health care and social services. -Performed literature reviews, prepared data for reports and publications, and entered and cleaned data as requested.

-As a research intern in the Hepatitis C unit of the Division of Disease Control, I evaluated a policy mandate to integrate Hepatitis C testing and education services into state- and city-funded community-based HIV prevention programs.-Used two survey tools to assess 50 service providers' levels of knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to HIV/HCV integration during 25 site visits.-Presented findings to city health officials.-Assisted colleagues in the preparation of a publication based on this project.

-As a staff member of the Federation’s Alliance for Jewish Education, I developed programs and exhibits for Shalom Street, a Jewish-themed children's museum.-Researched various aspects of Jewish community life, religious practice, and arts and culture.-Established partnerships with community organizations in support of museum programming. -Sourced and reviewed local elementary school curricula to produce educational guides for museum visits.
