I am currently building on my bookkeeping knowledge and experience in order to take on more accounting duties. I have helped in preparing books and accounts, which are checked by a qualified accountant. I am also undertaking accountancy qualifications.

I worked in a small team which was tasked with creating a dynamic survey to diagnose the issues within the management of a company. The survey was based on the work by Dr. Reddy and was created to ensure that it was understandable and easy to complete. We created the survey using LimeSurvey, along with follow-up questionnaire in order to help refine the diagnostic tool.

I was in charge of developing a psychometric algorithm which matches entrepreneurs with mentors. I used qualitative research methods along with existing research to create a model of the mentoring relationship in order to identify the important factors. There is little research that attempts to solve the matching problem; this study uses existing literature along with interviews with experienced mentors and mentees to establish a matching algorithm. The matching algorithm is dependant on a questionnaire which creates a profile of each mentor and mentee in order to determine the best matches. Time constraints restricted the testing to only the questionnaire, but this showed how the similarities between the mentors and the mentees meant a match based on similarities was possible. The previous research, along with the interviews, showed that similarities was a valid method for initially matching mentors with start-ups as it led to a positive initial relationship.

Once the shop was sustainable, I was in charge of finding and staffing the store. I created a job advert, sifted through CVs, conducted interviews, and selected the people to take over.
