CurrentResponsible for the financial reporting of several of the Firm's hedge funds representing approximately $2.8 billion of assets under management.Financial product exposure includes: CMOs, treasuries, TBAs, Agency Pass-Throughs, domestic, foreign and emerging market securities, credit default swaps, asset-backed securities credit default swaps, repos, reverse repos, swaps, options, futures, forwards, whole loans, REIT, distressed debt and bank debt.Prepare annual GAAP financial statements for multiple domestic and offshore master-feeder funds; coordinated annual audit process for the funds.Review monthly Net Asset Valuations for the purposes of reporting fund performance to investment managers and investors.On-boarded multiple funds including; reviewing fund Offering Memorandum, Partnership Agreements, ISDA agreements, MSFTAs, GMRAs and setting up funds with administrators and prime brokers.Responsible for valuation used on for all products for each fund. Work with the COO, Vice Chairman and Valuation Committee to ensure the pricing of all products held by funds are acceptable for both GAAP and are in accordance with the funds Offering Memoranda. Implemented a process for monthly/quarterly review and analysis of all positions held. Enhanced system of accumulating and analyzing internal manager marks to third party valuations received from various sources (Wall Street Institutions, counterparties or other valuation services. Present findings and analysis monthly to the firms Valuation Committee.Developed a process to monitor counterparty risk across funds.Assess effectiveness of internal controls and advise senior management on process enhancements.Developed relationships with key senior executives throughout the organization to assure that the financial reporting group is part of strategic business decisions.Manage team of five including two senior fund accountants and three analysts.
