Employed at Homegroup to head the commercial team within the asset management department. Home Group is an affordable housing and care organisation with 55,000 properties worth £3.5b. The main responsibilities include an overview of the office optimisation program of 102 offices and disposal of surplus operational stock. Robs work has revolved around: - • Developing the office optimisation program.• Establishing an FM strategy for the commercial properties.• Support to treasury on Bank lending and valuation on £60m loans. • Project co-ordinator on managing a retro fit scheme with ERDF funding £1.2m. • Formulated a strategy on a £30 m private rented portfolio with a subsidiary board.• Running the acquisition and disposal program of surplus properties.• Evolving a program of building reinstatement valuation work across the portfolio.• Involvement with the procurement department on framework agreements.• Maintaining customer and key client relationships.

Provided consultancy advice to a number of private and public clients with special projects. This included property portfolio assessment and implementation of agreed strategies.

Employed as Managing Director of in-site Property Solutions Ltd, a small family owned Property Company with 8 sites in excess of 1 million sq ft and several retail properties from an associated company. The company had 3 offices and 10 employees. The responsibilities of the role included; - • Acquisition of new commercial property investments.• Design and implementation of both the company’s and individual property strategies.• Responsible for financial reporting to the board and stakeholders.• Forging new relationships with banking institutions for lending purposes. • Maintaining and monitoring external professional instructions.• Responsible for all staffing issues.• Management of the properties.Achievements at In-Site• Successfully negotiated the purchase of a 3.5-Acre property in Glenrothes Scotland, adjacent to a Morrison’s Supermarket with underlining development potential. • A re-assessment of the business strategy in 2008 increased the gross rental income from £1.2m to £1.6m surpassing targets.• Achieved change of use on an 18 acre site through representation at local plan level increasing the gross development value in excess of £3m.• Completed a review of the company infrastructure including implementation of new employment contracts and a corporate health and safety framework. • Resolved a long outstanding complex legal dispute saving costs and management time.• Negotiated several lease renewals exceeding the passing rent in several cases.• Reduced on-going operational costs by £75k per year through strategic review of operations.
