Harborne Police Station

Working with a team reviewing Homicide investigations. Providing assistance to investigation teams dealing with current homicide enquiries and also identifying investigative opportunities for “cold case” murders.

Harborne, West Midlands

Responsible for the investigation of Homicide, including work related deaths and deaths of children. I have completed different roles within the HOLMES environment including Receiver/Allocator, Statement Reader, Outside Crew Sergeant, Office Manager and Deputy SIO. I have supervised enquiries through the criminal justice process to successful prosecutions at Crown Court. Many require specific knowledge of telecoms evidence, CCTV and the liaison with Expert Witnesses.

West Midlands

Detective Sergeant responsible for a team working on murder enquiries taking them to trial from the point of charge. Whilst utilising HOLMES I was responsible for similtaneous enquiries and supervising officers responsible for Case Building, Disclosure and Exhibits and also the management of trials at the Crown Court. Also responsible for reviewing murder enquiries, both current enquiries and cold cases. Completed a Review Officers Course and successfully prosecuted historical enquiries.

Walsall Police Station

Detective Sergeant responsible for the supervision of a team dealing with serious crime. During this period lead both a Burglary and Robbery Team and additionally was responsible for the investigation of Serious Sexual Offences, Crimes against the person and Murder.

West Bromwich

Detective Constable involved in the Investigation of Serious Crime, responsible for investigating all types of serious crime. This involved the interviewing of witnesses and suspects and case building including the management of exhibits and disclosure.

Birmingham, United Kingdom

Police Constable posted to the Operational Support Unit. Responsible for crime searches, both open air and in buildings. Also trained and conducted anti-terrorism searches. Responsible with other officers in policing large events such as football matches and dealing with crime and disorder. Also involved in the execution of warrants and fast entry into premises.

Wolverhampton

Response duties working in uniform both on foot and mobile patrol.
