Bob is a champion of the firm’s team approach to help clients resolve their matters as efficiently as possible.Bob’s extensive background in business and business law have allowed him to provide valuable, imaginative solutions to businesses of all sizes dealing with a variety of difficult strategic and legal issues.Bob has always been a leader among his peers–starting in his college fraternity, continuing during his service to the U.S. Army where he received a meritorious promotion, and eventually serving as President of the firm. He is the founder or Director of many civic organizations in the Kansas City area and has served as President of the Kansas City Estate Planning Society and the Kansas City Hospital Lawyers Association. He has played a significant role in establishing a tradition of leadership and professional engagement at Van Osdol.Bob was named to Outstanding Lawyers of America in 2003 and has been recognized as one of both Kansas and Missouri’s Super Lawyers every year since the award was established in 2005, an outstanding achievement as only 5% of attorneys are selected each year. He was rated as an AV Preeminent Lawyer by his peers.Bob is consistently ranked among the top 100 lawyers in Missouri and Kansas.His outside interests include hunting, fishing, the Royals, golf, wine and conservation issues. He is also a 2015 graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
