My role consisted of two parts:- • Senior Developer As senior developer I helped other developers with OO design and methodology and how to integrated software packages together. Introduced the company to Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, web services and ASP.NET, using both C# and VB.NET. Using all these technologies I have created new software packages, for example a client survey package, that integrated into their existing case management system which I programmed using a proprietary scripting language and web services that I use within our intranet. Recently I have been programming a new Internet Conveyance quote system, for the company web site, which is using mail and SMS integration. • Business Intelligence Architect My other duty was to create a Business Intelligence solution. Phase one used SQL Server 2005, which I used to put in place multi-dimensional structures from source data in the companies time recording, account and main case management systems. For reporting we used Microsoft Reporting Services to visualise the data using multi-dimensional cubes and relational database queries.

My role consisted of two parts:- • Manager I am line/team manger responsible for 3 teams, the Point Of Sale, the Back/Head Office software teams and the Visual quality testing department. I reported directly to one of our company directors. There were around 14 people in the development team. For an 8 month period I became the Development Manager leading 50+ people reponsible for the 2nd and 3rd Line Visual support teams along with the development teams I was leading. As manager I would work with all other teams in the business, like installation and support, and project plan the workload and manage day to day line manager duties like sickness/holidays and reviews. It was also my job to visit customers and help discuss the technical side of the software and try and help plan future work or discuss problems they might be having. • Technical Architect and Leader My actual main duties for the development teams was to technically supervise, and help design and write, the software enhancements and bug fixing that both teams did. The Back office software was written in Delphi using Object Oriented architecture with XML and design documents in UML. A few areas this software covered were, prices/cash office and stock control. The Point of Sale software was written in C++, again using OO and the WIN32 API.

I worked at Coda as a Lead Developer/Software architect in the Financial Business Intelligence development programme, my main duties were to help design and program the multi-dimensional Business Intelligence product suite. I also worked on the transactional financial products that we sell all over the world to big name companies, including banks. The development itself includes Java, windows and Web clients with Java application servers.

My main account was Employment Service contract. We work to strict coding standards that I wrote, we also work in a quality environment that we must follow to keep our ISO 9001 certification. My roles were: • Microsoft Technical Leader • Line Manager • Java/Web and C++ Team Leader Projects are based on Web deployment using Asp’s, Java Servlets, and JSP`s using Visual Age For Java and Enterprise Java Beans. System architecture, hardware and software (OO Design).
