I am one of the rare food-safety professionals that makes Quality and Compliance an asset to company objectives for growth and profitability without compromising safe-food or compliance. As the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager at PROBAR, LLC, I ensured the quality and safety of nutrition bars and snacks meeting the business needs of growth and profitability beginning in 2010. Prior to that, I ensured food safety and formula and quality compliance for meat and frozen entrees at Nestle Prepared Foods starting in 1999. At both, I managed safe and compliant food manufacturing meeting customer and distribution needs and preferences for brand loyalty, brand growth, and profitable operational compliance. I managed raw material supplier channels delivering to the production of brand, co-manufacturing, and private label contract manufacturing; and providing food-safe manufacturing to distribution channels as demanding as Walmart, Amazon Kitchen, Kroger, and more of the world's most demanding food-safe retailers. With over 20 years of experience in the food industry, I have developed and implemented quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards that comply with FDA & USDA HARPC/HACCP, SQF program certification, and Organic, Kosher, Non-GMO, and Non-Gluten certifications. I created risk analysis and risk mitigation process controls so creative that some were later obligatory process controls in Nestle manufacturing plants across the world. I have also created and conducted food safety verification and validation activities that ensured safe-food and quality and reduced operational costs and production burdens, as well as inventing time saving and cost saving sanitation processes on food manufacturing equipment--creating more profitable production hours and reduced compliance overhead without compromising food safety or regulatory compliance. I have also coordinated and conducted audits and inspections. I am an expert in SQF certification, root-cause analysis, and programmed compliance. I have managed and resolved both USDA and FDA recalls. I am passionate about delivering high-quality products that meet the expectations and needs of customers, as well as ensuring food safety realization that supports company production and profit goals. I have a strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills, exceptional scientific knowledge application to problems, and I enjoy working with a diverse and collaborative team of professionals.
