Today, I’m the COO at Engage Mentoring, but my first leadership role was as a shift leader for a small-town ice cream bar at the seasoned age of 14. I was enthusiastic to do things like inventory, train new staff, and demonstrate efficiency. Helping people succeed has always felt rewarding and should have been an indicator of my passion for process, people development, and productivity – yet I thought I was destined for Hollywood.I failed to become a movie star but found success at a luxury hotel group as an Event Manager. Although effective in my role, navigating a path forward seemed impossible. I was fortunate to have an exceptional leader who supported and empowered me to improve my skills, and that guidance still motivates me to this day.With over 25 years of professional experience ranging from Hospitality to Event Management and Operations, one constant remains – people are my passion, project, and product. Each day I have one goal – support our organization, our people, and our clients through three commitments:1.
